Coco Rocha designs for Senhoa
Coco Rocha is using her activist side to design a collection for Senhoa, a jewelry line that supports victims of human trafficking by providing income-generation opportunities, social reintegration and programs for self-empowerment. Shenhoa currently has three core programs in Cambodia to aid the rescue, rehabilitation and education of young women sold into slavery. Senhoa is unique in that it operates as a social enterprise. Their programs are designed to provide economic opportunities to the survivors of human trafficking and vulnerable young women by training them to make high quality-jewelry. 100% of the proceeds from the sales of the handcrafted jewelry go to Senhoa’s community development projects. Coco first learned of Senhoa during a chance meeting with founder Lisa T.D. Nguyen in Paris the day before Coco’s wedding. Coco was gifted with a beautiful Senhoa bracelet and was deeply touched by the charities mission and stories of the survivors of human trafficking. She knew she wanted to help after learning about the cause. The Coco Rocha for Senhoa jewelry line consists of seven unique jewelry pieces designed by Coco herself and assembled by the hands of the very women Senhoa is helping to liberate and empower through their programs.
