And Kate Moss’ wedding photographer is …
… of course it is going to be Mario Testino. The fashion photographer and Kate Moss have been working closely together for nearly 20 years. So it is no surprise that Kate Moss asked the Peruvian-born photographer to shoot at her wedding.
Mario Testino, who shot the now infamous engagement photos of Kate Middleton and Prince William in December, is also glad to be the official photographer at Kate’s wedding, as the supermodel is one of his top five favorite people to photograph.
He told the iPad- only newspaper The Daily that he cannot wait to ‘capture the happiness that Kate is going through at the moment’ when she steps down the aisle.
When Testino was asked who his favourite muse is, he answered that it is like asking a parent of five to pick their number one child.
‘Kate Moss has been one of my favorites for a long time,’ Testino said. ‘I have worked a lot with her.
‘I think I have managed to document her through the 20 years that we have worked together. But there are many people like that: Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Winslet, it is hard to pick just one.’
According to this long-lasting working relationship with Kate Moss, Testino also plans to release his book “Kate Moss,” an intimate documentation of his time working with the supermodel, this summer. The fames fashion photographer and the supermodel have created fashion magic together for two decades, culminating a deep friendship and thousands of memorable images.
Even though Kate Moss is not going to be the next Duchess of Cambridge, her wedding is going to be the second biggest wedding of the year in the United Kingdom. Testino is one of the UK’s most famous photographers and over his 30 year career, has become a royal family favorite. So to be the official photographer when the British supermodel ties the knot with Jamie Hince in July is a further boosting for his connection to the UK.
‘England is the country where I learned my profession. They are the ones that trained me they are the ones that believed in me. I owe a lot to your country.
‘For me photographing the Royals is my way of giving back to the country: documenting this tradition and the history.
‘For a Peruvian – apart from Paddington Bear – there are very few of us that can be a part of it. I feel very attached to the English.’
