Heidi Klum saving the premiere
She isn’t an actress and doesn’t even have a role in animated movie sequel Hoodwinked Too! Hood Vs Evil. But organizers must have been thankful that Heidi Klum was able to lend some much needed star power to today’s Hollywood premiere, when most of the movie’s main stars failed to appear.
Glenn Close, Hayden Panettiere, Amy Poehler and Bill Murray, who provide voices in the film, were all absent from The Grove cinemas in Los Angeles. But despite the absence of star power, Heidi looked like she was enjoying herself – as she smiled gamely for the cameras.
Dressed casually in a pair of cropped denim jeans and a baggy patterned top, the 37-year-old Project Runway host later embraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein whose studio is producing the film.
However, she did not bring any of her four children with her to the film. She and husband Seal have sons Henry, five and Johan, four, and daughter Lou, 18 months. Their brood also includes six-year-old Leni – Ms Klum’s daughter from a previous relationship with Italian businessman Flavio Briatore.
Meanwhile, stars Martin Short, Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong did arrive to support the film, a fairytale sequel to the 2006 original. The film follows heroine Red (Panettiere) as she investigates the disappearance of Hansel and Gretel.
The lack of star power at today’s premiere is not the only issue which has affected the movie. The film, which will also be released in 3D, was due to be released last year, but was delayed. It will be released in the U.S. on April 29.
