Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Named Female Star of Tomorrow
She’s pretty and she’s taken over Megan Fox’s eye-candy role in the third Transformers film, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, and now Rose Huntington-Whiteley has been named Female Star of Tomorrow by motion picture theater professionals. 23 year old former model-turned-actress Huntington-Whiteley is making her feature film debut with the Michael Bay film, but apparently the CinemaCon folks think she’ll be around for more than just a Transformers film.
“With her upcoming role in Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Huntington-Whiteley is sure to show that she is a true star of tomorrow,” stated Managing Director of CinemaCon Mitch Neuhauser. “We are thrilled to honor this promising young actress with the ‘CinemaCon Female Star of Tomorrow Award.'”
All of this year’s awards will be presented at the CinemaCon Big Screen Achievement Awards ceremony to be held March 31st in The Colosseum of Caesars Palace. Other honorees include Chris Hemsworth (Male Star of Tomorrow), Blake Lively (Breakthrough Performer of the Year), Ryan Reynolds (Male Star of the Year), Cameron Diaz (Female Star of the Year), Tyler Perry (Visionary Award), Helen Mirren (Career Achievement Award), Russell Brand (Comedy Star of the Year), Jason Momoa (Male Rising Star of 2011), Julianne Hough (Female Rising Star of 2011) and the Harry Potter franchise (Hall of Fame Award).
