Rosie Huntington-Whiteley keeps tight-lipped on Transformers role
The Brit beauty, who makes her acting debut in the movie, will play Shia LaBeouf’s new girlfriend in the sequel, taking over from Megan Fox.
Speaking to Total Film about her character, Rosie said: ‘She’s English and is working for the British embassy… I can’t tell you more! That’s all I can say for now!’
She added that when she originally went to the casting she was unaware that the producers were looking for a female lead.
‘We were told it was for a “nemesis” role and I left thinking I was awful. The next day I was offered the lead!’ she told the magazine.
‘I met with Shia that evening and within three weeks I was on set shooting my first scenes.’
Transformers fans eagerly awaiting the release of the third film in the franchise were given a 30-second sneak peak during the Super Bowl ad break.
Rosie appeared fleetingly in the trailer, looking on in horror as robots rampage through a city.
The teaser revealed very little about the film’s plot, instead focusing on action shots of robots fighting. There was a quick glimpse of what could have been an alien invasion.
In addition to Rosie and LaBeouf, Transformers: Dark of the Moon also stars Josh Duhamel, John Malkovich and Hugo Weaving.
