Daisy Lowe to design swimwear range for Peacocks

British model, Daisy Lowe, girlfriend of ‘Doctor Who’ actor, Matt Smith, is to design a collection of vintage-inspired swimwear with high street chain, Peacocks.
No stranger to the value men’s and women’s fashion retailer, Daisy has modelled five past sell out collections for Peacocks, designed by her mother Pearl, of vintage-inspired tea-dresses, lace party frocks and 20s-style faux fur shrugs.
Continuing the retro theme, the 21-year-old’s debut swimwear collection will be inspired by the 50’s pin-up, Bettie Page, and the curvaceous Italian actress, Sophia Loren, in a four-piece collection of frilly bikinis, swimsuits and sexy shorts.
As a proud ambassador for more rubenesque female silhouettes, Daisy will design the collection with the voluptuous woman in mind, but hopes to flatter women of all shapes and sizes with the 6-18 and 32B to 36DD size ranges. And not only that, but the prices are a snip, with everything in the range set to retail for ?18 and under.
Of Daisy’s collection, proud mother Pearl, 40, who modelled with her at Vintage at Goodwood festival last summer, says: “Whatever she puts her hand to turns into a success and I can’t wait to see her designs come to life this summer. Together we are proud to be bringing classy vintage fashion to the high street at affordable prices”.
