Kate Moss has designs on the daughter of billionaire Sir Philip Green
Kate Moss has held talks about designing a joint range for Topshop with Chloe Green, the daughter of the fashion chain’s owner, Sir Philip Green.
Kate Moss may have designed her last solo collection for her friend Sir Philip Green at Topshop, but she will continue her association with the billionaire’s family.
Sir Philip’s 19-year-old daughter, Chloe Green, tells Mandrake that is involved in discussions with the supermodel about designing a joint collection for the high street fashion chain.
“I saw Kate a few days ago and we talked about doing something together in the spring, collaborating on a collection,” Chloe says. “She’s really into vintage and I love clothes that are a little bit more modern, so I think it will be an interesting mix to work together.
“Kate taught me to always think of myself first. I’m designing for me and if other people like it then great. That’s how she designs.”
Chloe is planning to follow in the footsteps of her father, whose Arcadia group owns several chains including Bhs, Burton and Dorothy Perkins.
“I’m training in all areas,” she says. “Marketing, merchandise, etc, but I’m most interested in design. Dad wants me and my brother to be happy and be our own person, but it just happens that I want to work at Topshop. I think he would have been secretly a little bit gutted if I hadn’t, but he’s really supportive of us.”
