Gisele Bundchen kicks off UN Summit at New York in style

It seems perfectly fitting that the United Nations Summit be kicked off by a Brazilian supermodel accompanied by a whole host of international representatives.
Gisele Bundchen celebrated the UN Millenium Development Goals Summit at a luanch event at the New York Museum of Natural History last night.
The 30-year-old UN Environmental Ambassador walked the red carpet at the event in a cream shift dress and pale pink heels, posing for photographs and interacting with the other spokespeople a the event – many of whom were in national dress.
The supermodel mother of one has been busy in the past couple of weeks.
On top of her philanthropic efforts, Gisele has been heavily involved in New Your Fashion Week, which ended on September 16th, and walked the catwalk in several of the big shows.
She has also been spotted out and about round New York with her nine-month-old son Benjamin, shopping and meeting friends for lunch.
Meanwhile her husband, New England Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady is now fully into the start of the American Football season, taking him to a different city every week for games and training in New England the rest of the time.

Bundchen married Brady in February 2009 and the pair split their time between New York and Los Angeles depending on where Tom is playing and where Gisele is working.
Other that being a UN Ambassador, Gisele is heavily involve in charitable causes.
As well as being involved in several local charities in her home country of Brazil, she has been a major player in supporting the RED program and assisting the Global Fund raise money for Aids charities.
She also donated $1.5 million dollars this year to help the victims of the Haitian earthquake.
