Italian ready-to-wear brand Max Mara has unveiled its Spring Summer 2025 womenswear collection with a campaign featuring Italian model Vittoria Ceretti. Lensed by Craig McDean, it celebrates the art of fashion and the elegance of scientific inquiry.
Intertwining the worlds of fashion and science, the new collection embraces scientific precision contrasting with idiosyncratic details. Influenced from the discipline of mathematics, it is characterized by perfect geometry and sleek elegance.
All of the pieces in the collection have a modern interpretation of tailoring with a distinctive trigonometrical twist, inspired by the legacy of elegant precision of Hypatia of Alexandria- a pioneering 4th-century mathematician and philosopher.
Predicated on precision, linear fabrics, gaberdines, drills and poplins criss-crossed with random creases enhance the collection’s theme with the color palette of crystalline white, copper oxide, deep delphinium blue and silver nitrate taking its cues from the scientific realm.
