Dior partners With French Chef Anne-Sophie Pic for Monsieur Dior restaurant in Japan
French Luxury Fashion house Dior has partnered with French Chef Anne-Sophie Pic for the launch of its first Monsieur Dior restaurant in Japan in 2025.
Marking a further step in Dior’s strategic expansion into different realms of French art de vivre and excellence, the long-term partnership will see Pic helm a new Monsieur Dior restaurant set to open in Osaka in 2025. The restaurant promises an exceptional experience, fusing the superb culinary talent of Anne-Sophie Pic with the timeless elegance of the iconic French house.
The announcement comes after Dior opened it’s the first Cafe Dior by the 54-year-old Pic at Kansai International Airport at the end of last year. Located next to the new Dior boutique at Terminal 2, the cafe offers pastries and cakes inspired by Christian Dior’s archives, embellished with the House’s signature codes, including the iconic cannage and Toile de Jouy, as well as houndstooth, leopard or compass rose motifs. There are also travel cakes and chocolate bars decorated with sketches of haute couture silhouettes.
‘This unique encounter between two realms of excellence, both quintessential celebrations of French art de vivre, will evolve over the seasons, years and projects to come,’ the brand said in a statement
‘Christian Dior is unquestionably the couturier of the feminine ideal. He sublimates women through the curved lines of his unique creations. As a female chef, this sensibility moves me and I am proud to celebrate French elegance and savoir-faire through this alliance,’ Pic said in a statement.
Pic who is the most Michelin-starred female chef in the world has a total of 10 Michelin stars across her nine restaurants across the world. The new restaurant will join the historic flagship Monsieur Dior restaurant under French chef Jean Imbert in Paris, as well as other Cafe Dior addresses in the United States and Asia.
