Ganni unveils Exclusive Outerwear collection with Barbour
Danish contemporary ready-to-wear fashion brand Ganni has joined hands with British luxury and lifestyle brand for an exclusive Outerwear collection.
The collection is split into two parts: a ready-to-wear line and a Re-loved collection. The first consists of nine timeless pieces: two coats, four jackets, a skirt and two bucket hats in Barbour’s classic earth tones embellished with bright red accents and tattoos with a neon green logo. The second 50 comprises of 50 up-cycled and reworked jackets and coats.
Made from at least 50% recycled fabrics or organic cotton, each style brings together Ganni’s Scandi 2.0 sensibility with the very best of Barbour’s British roots. Drawing inspiration from the Barbour archive, the designs play with traditional Barbour styles by injecting bold colours and adding oversized collars and pockets.
‘I’ve always been a big fan of Barbour. Their outerwear is so iconic, you just want to keep their pieces forever – the design is so timeless and the quality is simply that good,’ Ganni Creative Director Ditte Reffstrup explained.
‘This upcycling initiative forms part of our Wax for Life program which brings together all of Barbour’s unique wax services under one umbrella name and enables our products to be used for many years, minimizing their impact on the environment,’ Paul Wilkinson, Group Marketing Director & MD at Barbour USA said in a statement.
The Ganni x Barbour ready-to-wear line and limited-edition ‘Re-loved’ capsule is available to shop now at select Ganni stores, Ganni.com and at London’s Selfridges.
