H&M launches limited edition Summer capsule with star studded film featuring Gigi Hadid
Swedish fashion giant H&M has launched a limited edition summer capsule with a star studded campaign fronted by Gigi Hadid.
Titled ‘Hotel Hennes’, the capsule comprises of t-shirts, shorts, hoodie, caps, bikinis, beach towels, sunglasses, tote bags, scarf and sarong. All of the pieces have been crafted in palettes and patterns inspired by the upbeat retro look of Hotel Hennes and are designed to complement each other ideally as a holiday look.
The campaign film directed by Bardia Zeinali takes place at the Hotel Hennes, a fictional fashion destination, inspired by legendary art hotels, where artists, thinkers and icons hung out, collaborated, and completed residencies. According to the brand it is a place where aesthetics are exaggerated and experimental, where stories can twist and turn, where dreams are made, and where fashion has no rules.
Gigi plays the hotel owner with an entertaining cast of staff such as bellhops Jazzelle Zanaughtti and Kiddy Akita Lou, model Olivia Vinten, as the Head of Housekeeping; dancer and content creator Donte Colley as the Head of Glow-ups; model Devyn Garcia as a lifeguard; editor and content creator Christina ‘Tinx’ Najjar as the Hotel’s receptionist.
The illustrious visitors residing at the hotel include model Jill Kortleve, Isabelle Chaput and Nelson Tiberghien of the Young Emperors, Julia Hobbs as a fashion journalist; and model Precious Lee as a catwalk model.
‘This is a homage to those magical hotels that have been the site of so much creativity in the past. I had so much fun on set, and I think that shows through in the film; the message is welcoming and playful,’ said Gigi.
‘Visually, Hotel Hennes is a wonderland; the stars are not in their usual roles and every frame is intended as a new adventure,’ said director Bardia Zeinali.
