Have you always wanted to be a model? If not, what did you want to be growing up?
I always wanted to be a model, but I focused on my academic career first. I am glad to fulfil my dream now.
How were you scouted?
I applied to my agency with some polaroid’s – very old school.
How would you describe yourself as a model in three words?
Reliable, authentic, outgoing
Your first modeling job?
My very first modeling job was a shooting for Zalando – I really liked it.
What is your favorite or most exciting aspect about being a model?
No shooting is the same – you meet interesting people, make exciting experiences, and get into new situations. I love the diversity and variety.
Is there anyone that you admire as a role model and why?
There are so many strong female role models – if I have to pick only one, I will name Tarana Burke, an American civil rights activist, who is known as the founder of the #meToo movement.
What is your dream shoot/campaign?
I would love shooting for a famous sports brand, as sport is my absolute passion.
Biggest lesson that modeling has taught you?
To trust the progress and not take rejection personally.
What’s the best life advice you’ve ever received?
“Imagine the woman you want to be. What does her life look like? What daily habits does she have? – You don’t just become her. You build her. Start right now”
How do you stay in shape?
Sport is my absolute passion – I run every day and train combat sports up to seven times a week. I love clean eating, outdoor sports, and an active life. That’s how I take care of my body and soul
What do you think about fashion? What does it mean to you?
Fashion is a great way to express yourself. Fashion makes me feel confident – it is how I show myself to the world the way I want to be seen.
How would you describe your style?
Athletic
Denim or leather?
Denim forever
Vintage or contemporary fashion?
vintage everything.
If you were an emoji, which would you be and why?
An emoji with a big, sunny smile and rosy cheeks
When you’re not busy modeling, what are some of your favorite things to do?
Outdoor activities, training, travelling, and camping
What are you working on now and what do you dream of happening in the future?
I am very committed to gender equality and female empowerment – that’s something I’m working on a lot. I dream of empowering more and more women in the future – hopefully by being a female role model in the model industry someday.
Thank you, Ela, for taking the time to talk with us!
