Have you always wanted to be a model? If not, what did you want to be growing up?
I actually never thought of modeling, until I got scouted. Before modeling became a possibility, I wanted to be a vet.
How were you scouted?
I was scouted at a music festival in The Hague!
How would you describe yourself as model in three words?
Determined, passionate, kind
Your first modeling job?
I haven’t had my first official modeling job yet, but that’s where Milano will hopefully bring a difference in This is my first time and I’m also very much looking forward to fashion week in September!
What is your favorite or most exciting aspect about being a model?
Definitely standing in front of the camera and getting a closer look in the fashion industry!
What’s been your biggest OMG moment to date?
That’s definitely going to Milan. It still seems surreal that I’m really here and being able to work on my career in the most beautiful city.
What is your dream shoot/campaign?
I would love to walk a big show for Dior. That would absolutely be a dream come true!
Biggest lesson that modeling has taught you?
The biggest lesson that modeling has told me so far is that the beauty of other models doesn’t take away from your own beauty.
What’s the best life advice you’ve ever received?
It’s definitely a bit cliche but: Don’t live in the past or in the future, live in the now!
How do you stay in shape?
I try to go to the gym at least 4 times per week, besides that I have a personal trainer and I do ballet.
What do you think about fashion? What does it mean to you?
I think fashion is a way to express yourself and to show the things about your character that you can’t explain with words.
If you had to be head to toe in one designer brand for the rest of your life, which would it be?
Definitely Maje, because it has timeless elegance suitable for everyone.
How would you describe your style?
I would say casual, but with a little extra twist given by accessories!
Denim or leather?
Overall denim, but you can never go wrong with leather pants to flare up the outfit
Heels or flats?
Flats
Vintage or contemporary fashion?
Vintage
What is your guilty pleasure?
Definitely fruit loops, I could eat those anytime!
What’s been your most indulgent purchase since you became a model?
A beautiful Sandro bag with purple pallete.
If you were an emoji, which would you be and why?
The running girl emoji.
When you’re not busy modeling, what are some of your favorite things to do?
I love to skateboard with friends or walk on the beach! And I’m now also trying to learn a bit of Italian to really be able to indulge in the culture.
What are you working on now and what do you dream of happening in the future?
Currently I am in Milano to kick off my modeling career and I hope I can continue with it in the future. I generally see myself working in the modeling industry, if not a as a model, than as a booker. I just really love the vibe.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years’ time?
In 10 years I’ll be 27. I would like to still be traveling the world and never settling in the same place. Oh and I hope I have a dog
