Have you always wanted to be a model? If not, what did you want to be growing up?
I never had one specific dream profession but always wanted to something which makes fun. Furthermore, I need to interact with other people, I couldn’t sit all day long alone – I need movement and conversations. Therefore, modeling is just a dream come true.
How were you scouted?
I wasn’t actually scouted – my aunt gave me a photoshoot as a Christmas present and it went really well so everyone told me to try and apply at a model agency. That’s what I did and that;s how my journey began.
How would you describe yourself as a model in three words?
Open-minded, outgoing and disciplined. I try to see everything in life as positive as it can be seen and make the best out of every situation. I just love living and enjoy the time we are gifted to spent on our beautiful planet earth. Furthermore, am also a very disciplined type of person and always give all I got.
Your first modeling job?
My first bigger modeling job was for an Italian bridal dress company, and I flew to Naples for two days. I was allowed to drop out of school for these days and it was such an exciting trip and I this job will stay in my memory for ever.
What is your favorite or most exciting aspect about being a model?
I just love meeting new people and getting to know other cultures. I just stayed in Istanbul for a couple for weeks and it was such a nice experience to work with people with other cultural backgrounds. Currently I am in Milan and really excited what is going to come next.
What’s been your biggest OMG moment to date?
My biggest OMG moment happened last week when my agency called me and told me that I got a placement in Milan, Italy. I didn’t even know that they proposed me to the agency – and my mind was just thinking: OMG, WHAT IS HAPPENING? How cool is that?!
What is your dream shoot/campaign?
As I am really into sports and sportive shootings – I would love to shoot for a huge sport brand (Lululemon, adidas, Alo yoga or Nike) and have a really active shooting with lots of fun and movement.
Biggest lesson that modeling has taught you?
If a casting director doesn’t want you for a specific job – it hasn’t to be about you or your person, it may also be that you just don’t fit in for this specific job. Sometimes a natural blonde is asked for and if you haven’t got blonde hair – what can you do? Just be self-confident and love yourself and your body as it was given to you – don’t always criticize yourself!
What’s the best life advice you’ve ever received?
You can’t change other people, but you can change how you are behaving and therefore you can change how other people are reacting on your behavior.
How do you stay in shape?
I just have a really good relationship to sports and love exercising. For me doing sports is no duty but a gift. I exercise between 5 and 7 times a week, depends on my time and feeling and I try to make it as diverse as possible – yoga, tennis, home workouts, running, inline skating (whatever fits to the weather and my mood).
Heels or flats?
I really love both – it totally depends on the location. But in general, I prefer comfortable clothing and styling and that is why I would choose flats.
Vintage or contemporary fashion?
I can go with both. I really love re-wearing old pieces from my mum but if I am buying new pieces, I normally go for contemporary fashion.
If you were an emoji, which would you be and why?
There is one sun emoji with a smile – I love that gives such a positive mood and energy. It instantly creates a better atmosphere and makes me smile.
When you’re not busy modeling, what are some of your favorite things to do?
As I said before I love doing sports and I spend many hours per week in exercising. But on the other side I also love preparing food and cooking. I love cooking with or for friends and family and I am always trying out new recipes and products. Cooking is somehow meditating for me.
Thank you, for taking the time to talk with us!
