Erdem launches exclusive capsule collection with The Outnet

London-based designer Erdem has launched an exclusive capsule with online Luxury Fashion platform The Outnet (which belongs to the Net-A-Porter group and specializes in the sale of designer fashion from previous seasons).

Titled ‘Erdem x The Outnet’ the special capsule comprises of 25 styles that utilizes existing fabrics from previous collections in some of Erdem’s iconic botanical patterns, reimagined in some of the designer’s signature silhouettes. From dresses, and trousers, to skirts and tops, all of the pieces are covered with floral patterns.

According to Erdem Moralioglu, each pattern and print is designed in-house with a focus on silhouettes from the past, to create an entire wardrobe. The collection gives the wearer a feeling of strength and beauty and appeals to different kinds of women as it covers different needs, from evening wear and day dresses to separates and pajama trousers.

The accompanying campaign embellished with Erdem’s own handwriting – stars multi-talented model, journalist, and poet Jess Cole. In the film, Cole reads from and incorporates her own words into, the work of pioneering 18th-century poet and botanist Alice Moore Dunbar-Nelson, a key African-American figure in the artistic regeneration of Harlem, also known as the Harlem Renaissance.
