Loewe opens its first German flagship store in Munich
Spanish luxury fashion house Loewe has opened its first independent flagship store in Munich Germany.
The boutique which opened on July 1 is located at number 18 of the Maximilianstrasse shopping street, the city’s most expensive avenue where almost all international luxury labels of the fashion and jewelry industry can be found.
The 300 square metered store features all of Loewe’s collections and categories of both women’s and men’s ready-to-wear as well as bags, small leather goods, accessories, eyewear, jewelry, and footwear.
As always Art is at the center of Loewe’s retail concept and such is also the case with its Munich store. Loewe’s creative director Jonathan Anderson was involved in the design of the two-level unit. From intimate decoration, complete with a selection of art and craft pieces, to a vertical garden borrowed from the Casa Loewe flagship stores in Madrid and London, the boutique is decorated with Haute craft. Works by German artist Ernst Gamperl, German potter Beate Kuhn and Japanese ceramist Takuro Kuwata can also be seen.
The new flagship is part of Loewe’s expansion effort. In addition to its Munich boutique, it also has a small store at the Frankfurt airport, a point of sale outlet in Ingolstadt Village, and a multi-brand presence in Stuttgart and Dusseldorf.
