Dior releases its Designer of Dreams exhibition online
French Maison Dior has responded to the global Coronavirus pandemic by releasing its blockbuster exhibition ‘Christian Dior, Designer of Dreams’ online.
The record-breaking exhibition can now be viewed on YouTube virtually with a guided tour free of charge. Viewers can see 70 years of the Maison’s history with a chronological timeline, spanning its roots with Monsieur Christian Dior’s ‘New Look’ era, and the subsequent creative directors, including Yves Saint Laurent and Maria Grazia Chiuri, who have transformed the house over the years. Additionally, one can catch a glimpse of the breathtaking couture, archival photographs, accessories, paintings, and objects that have never been revealed outside the exhibit.
Curated by Florence Muller and Olivier Gabet on the occasion of Dior’s 70th anniversary, the exhibition originally ran from July 2017 to January 2018 at the Musee des Arts Decoratifs in Paris and the V&A Museum in London. It broke all records and caused long queues with over 708,000 visitors.
Dior’s Designer of Dreams exhibition is available now on its official Youtube Channel.
