Karl Lagerfeld Photography Retrospective to open in Germany
Karl Lagerfeld is getting a major retrospective at the Moritzburg Art Museum in Halle (Saale).
Titled ‘Karl Lagerfeld. Photography,’ the retrospective will feature more than 300 photographs by the designer and presents his diverse areas of interest, including architecture, landscape, abstraction, portrait, self-portrait, and fashion photography – both his advertising campaigns for houses such as Chanel and Fendi and editorial shoots for major international fashion magazines.
The exhibition is an exceptional project in many ways: it was created in collaboration with Gerhard Steidl, Karl Lagerfeld’s longtime publisher, and Eric Pfrunder, Chanel’s Artistic Director of Fashion Image. The two curated Lagerfeld’s work which was selected and produced for the presentation together with Karl Lagerfeld during his lifetime.
The Karl Lagerfeld photography exhibition will take place from March 8, 2020, to March 23, 2020.
