Rare collection of archival Dior jewelry goes up for sale at Farfetch
A private collection of vintage Christian Dior jewelry is up for sale exclusively at Farfetch.
The online luxury fashion retail platform teamed up with Susan Caplan, one of the UK’s top purveyors of vintage jewelry to put together the collection. The capsule comprises of 80 never before worn extremely rare pieces of vintage Christian Dior rings, necklaces, earrings, and brooches.
According to Caplan, the jewelry pieces date back to 1976-1998 and span the years that Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferre, and John Galliano were at the helm of the French fashion house and were handmade by one of its master modelers. The designs are covered with Swarovski stones with prices ranging between 375-3,795 pounds.
‘We are thrilled to partner with the team at Susan Caplan to offer our global customers access to such a unique archive collection of Dior jewelry,’ said Maxim de Turckheim, Farfetch’s senior category development manager. ‘One of the amazing things about Farfetch is being able to partner with boutiques to showcase incredible pieces that can’t be found anywhere else in the world.’
‘I’m delighted to team up with Farfetch on this archive collection,’ said Caplan. ‘Their vision for a more sustainable fashion future is one we share and so to be able to offer their customers access to such a significant slice of Christian Dior history, as well as an opportunity to make a conscious purchase, is something I am very proud of.’
Vintage lovers can head to Farfetch to purchase a piece of history.
