Model of the Week: Caroline Knudsen
Each week, we take the time to highlight one of our favorite emerging models. Last week, we profiled Cornwall native Jena Goldsack and this week we’re turning our attention to Caroline Knudsen.
Leading the wave of new Danish talent she has been steadily rising through the ranks. Blessed with the perfect combination of cuteness and edge her versatility is unmistakable. A true global beauty, her presence on the runway makes for a memorable cast.
We caught up with her to talk about her career so far, her passion for modeling and her plans for the future.

Have you always wanted to be a model? If not, what did you want to be growing up?
It has never been something I’ve been thinking about. When I was little, I wanted to be a veterinarian, and when I was a bit older, I wanted to be a police officer.
How were you scouted?
I was scouted by Le Management in Aarhus in December 2015.
How would you describe yourself as a model in three words?
Happy, grateful and smiling.
Your first modeling job?
My first job was a show in Denmark for a Danish label.
Is there anyone that you admire as a role model and why?
Helena Christensen and Josephine Skriver – both two very beautiful Danish models. They are sources of inspiration because they have established an international career and still managed to be grounded by being role models and inspiration for young people – and me.
What’s been your biggest OMG moment to date?
My biggest OMG moment was when my booker at Le Management called me while I was in Copenhagen, and told me that I was booked for Burberry Exclusive at London fashion week.
Biggest lesson that modeling has taught you?
Never make too many plans – you never know what tomorrow brings. A models schedule is not predictable, but that’s also why I love the industry and my job.
What’s the best life advice you’ve ever received?
“I have never tried that before, so I think I should definitely be able to do that.” – Astrid Lindgren, Pippi Longstocking
How do you stay in shape?
Water and walk. Drink a lot of water and stay hydrated – it’s healthy and important for your body, but also for your skin. Walk when you have the opportunity – it’s an easy way to get your daily movement.
What do you think about fashion? What does it mean to you?
I love fashion! I really like to mix and match with all the different colors and styles. I think it’s amazing that fashion makes it possible to express your personality and that there is room for diversity. I think it’s so cool that people are different, and I get plenty of inspiration from people on the street or on SoMe.
If you had to be head to toe in one designer brand for the rest of your life, which would it be?
Chanel! I love all the colors and the beautiful looks.
How would you describe your style?
Colorful.
Denim or leather?
Denim.
Heels or flats?
Heels.
Vintage or contemporary fashion?
Both.
What is your guilty pleasure?
Candy and hot chocolate.
When you’re not busy modeling, what are some of your favorite things to do?
Be home and spend time with my family. I love to walk with my dogs and dad. I’m a big family person.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years’ time?
Hopefully still working as a model, and hopefully with a lot of success.
