Fendi’s next show will pay homage to Karl Lagerfeld
Fendi’s next show is all about Karl Lagerfeld.
To celebrate its 90th anniversary in July, the Italian fashion house will return to its roots in Rome with an Haute Couture show that will pay homage to the iconic fashion designer. Lagerfeld worked for a total of 54 years for Fendi and was creative director for 51 years.
‘It was probably the longest collaboration ever between a designer and a fashion house, so he leaves a large legacy with Fendi,’ said Bernard Arnault, chairman and chief executive officer of LVMH, at the company’s annual conference in Paris. According to Arnault, the death of Lagerfeld is a big loss for Fendi. The next show will, therefore, be dominated by the legendary designer, including ‘all his iconic creations for the fashion house’.
The exact date and location for Fendi’s Fall / Winter 2019-2020 show have not been officially confirmed.
