Dior will present its next Cruise Collection in Marrakech
Dior will debut its Resort 2020 Collection in the Moroccan city of Marrakech.
The announcement which was made recently marks the first time that a big fashion house is hosting a show there. It is also the city that inspired Yves Saint Laurent like no other with Moroccan inspirations inevitably resonating and inseparably linked with its aesthetics. In 2017 the Musee Yves Saint Laurent opened and the French fashion house also has a small store in the famous hotel ‘La Mamounia’.
Just as Marrakech inspired Yves Saint Laurent, it will be interesting to see how Maria Grazia Chiuri is inspired by its warm-weather and laid-back location.
Dior’s choice of location follows on last year’s resort show in Chantilly, France while other houses such as Chanel’ show will take place at the Grand Palais in Paris and Prada and Louis Vuitton in New York City.
The Dior Resort 2020 Collection will show on Monday, April 29.
