Gucci’s Cruise 2019 Campaign is a contrast between Culture and Nature
Italian luxury brand of fashion and leather goods Gucci recently launched its Cruise 2019 Campaign.
Lensed by photographer Glen Luchford, the campaign motifs was inspired by the Noah’s Ark and was lensed on a farm and features a rural community where animals and people co-exist in harmony. The characters appear as farmers wearing looks from the new collection alongside animals including a tiger, elephant, ostrich, sheep, and llama. Together they all depart on a wooden ark. Alessandro Michele served as creative director of the campaign along with Christopher Simmonds as art director.
The Gucci cruise collection is imbued with references to rock fashion and includes a leather boot with studs, leather bracelet with cross pendants, mid-heel pump with crystal G heel, necklace with cameo and cross pendants, velvet jacket with embroidery, a sandal with studs, wool lurex jacquard sweater, shimmering viscose jacquard jacket, etc. New accessories including the new Arli bag named after the show’s location and silk printed ready-to-wear pieces were influenced by the archives.
