Kate Moss’ daughter Lila Moss makes her modelling debut
Lila Moss, the daughter of Kate Moss, has made her official debut as a model.
The 16-year-old has been announced as the new face of Marc Jacobs beauty for 2019. She is the only child of the iconic British supermodel and media company co-founder, Jefferson Hack.
The announcement was made by Marc Jacobs himself in an Instagram post. ‘When I met Lila Grace for the first time in 2008, I was on a holiday in Ibiza and went to Formentera for the day to visit with her mom, Kate Moss, and other friends and family,’ Jacobs said in a statement announcing the news. ‘At just 6 year’s old, Lila’s strong character, demeanor and great beauty was already very apparent.’
‘It is with great pride and a full heart that I share this first image from our shoot with the incredible Lila Grace in her first ever beauty campaign for Marc Jacobs Beauty,’ he continued. ‘Lila’s beauty, composure, patience and kindness made this project even more special than I could have imagined. With each look we photographed, she got into each character effortlessly and gracefully.’
For the campaign, Lila was lensed by fashion photographer David Sims wearing a purple cats-eye and nude lipstick, with makeup by Diane Kendal.
Lila, who celebrated her sixteenth birthday on September 29, signed to her mother’s modeling agency, the Kate Moss Agency just a few days ago.
Like Lila, Marc Jacobs was the first to put Kaia Gerber, the daughter of Cindy Crawford, in a campaign in 2016 when she was 15 years old.
