Calvin Klein and Raf Simons unveil new fragrance
Calvin Klein has launched its first fragrance in thirteen years.
Titled ‘Women’, the fragrance was designed by Raf Simons in collaboration with the perfume company Coty. The accompanying campaign was lensed by visual artist Anne Collier and features actors Lupita Nyong’o and Saoirse Ronan. Their images are complemented with black and white photographs of women who inspired them.
‘Women was born out of the desire to celebrate both the plurality as well as the individuality of femininity today,’ Simons told BOF. ‘It’s a message of unity and inspired strength. I am immensely proud of everyone who contributed to and gave voice to this project.’
Calvin Klein Women includes notes of eucalyptus, blended with cedar wood from Canada, and a touch of orange blossom and magnolia. Together, the fragrance reflects the multi-faceted character of a woman: Strong, sensual, fragile and free. Prices range between $65 for a 30 ml bottle, $84 for 50 ml and $102 for 100 ml.
The new ‘Calvin Klein Women’ fragrance will be available from 16 July exclusively at Harvey Nichols Knightsbridge for a month. Thereafter, it will be available in UK, US, Germany from August 15.
