Kate Moss and Heidi Klum celebrate Mickey Mouse’s 90th birthday
Kate Moss and Heidi Klum pay tribute to Mickey Mouse on the cartoon character’s 90th birthday.
The supermodels join more than 30 celebrities in posing for a collection of portraits by photographer Rankin. The list includes icons from the world of fashion, cinema, music, television, and entertainment, including Mark Hamill, Tinie Tempah, Phillip Schofield, Amanda Holden and Sadie Frost.
The famous celebrities appear next to a black and white statue of the true original Mickey Mouse, paying homage to the inspiring feature of this extraordinary character, whose first appearance on the screen dates back to the 1928 film entitled Steamboat Willie.
The series of portraits were immortalized in a book that celebrates 90 years of the life of Mickey Mouse, from the very first sketches of the character to his status as a cultural symbol on a global level. In addition to the celebrities, families who have received assistance from Together for Short Lives, the UK charity initiative that provides care for young terminally ill patients will also appear.
The book can only be purchased through an auction on eBay that will be live next summer, and all proceeds will be donated to Together for Short Lives charity initiative. Inspired by the uplifting personality of Mickey Mouse, the English association strives to respect the uniqueness of every child, guaranteeing young people a dignified life alongside their families.
