Wrangler collaborates with Peter Max for Psychedelic ’70s collection
In celebration of its 70th anniversary, Wrangler is unveiling a capsule collection in collaboration with US designer and pop artist Peter Max.
Titled ‘Wrangler x Peter Max’, the collection is for both men and women and will feature jeans, shorts, colourful t-shirts, western shirts and jackets. Embodying a retro and western style, it is inspired by items from earlier collections of the denim brand that evokes a 70’s Psychedellic vibe. Additionally, two new jeans are added to the collection, namely the retro slim jeans for men and a straight cut jeans for ladies.
Peter Max who is also known as the ‘master of the psychedelic print’ collaborated 40 years ago with the classic American company. Back then, the hippie generation began to make jeans a part of their youth culture and Max shaped the face of the Summer of Love with posters, illustrations and paintings. Last summer, he designed a Revival collection for Wangler which consisted of many colored items and graphic prints and prints.
The ‘Wrangler x Peter Max autumn/winter collection will launch this week online and in select partner stores across the world.
