Naomi Campbell and Diesel design charity collection
Naomi Campbell has teamed up with Italian brand Diesel for a collection in aid of her Fashion For Relief initiative, called Child At Heart.
The idea for the joint project was proposed back in 2015 when Campbell presented Diesel’s founder and OTB president Renzo Rosso with the Award of Courage at the amfAR gala for his support of the amfAR activities.
The collection features a colorful selection of t-shirts and hoodies based on works of art designed by children attending the Diesel HQ kindergarten in Italy. The campaign images were lensed by Giampaolo Sgura and features Naomi Campbell herself, Nicola Formichetti, Kenya Kinski-Jones (daughter of Quincy Jones and Nastassja Kinski), and Aaron De Niro (son of Robert De Niro).
‘Children, who are the most innocent of all, are being caught in the crossfire. They’re traumatized. I’ve seen it for myself – I’ve been to the refugee camps. This is something I have wanted to do for years, and now we’re doing it,’ said Campbell in a statement.
Campbell will stage her next Fashion for Relief show on May 21 in Cannes, France, with the proceeds going to Save the Children.
Proceeds from the Child At Heart collaboration will go to Campbell’s Fashion For Relief fund to help initiatives that support children and teens. The “Fashion For Relief x Diesel” collection is available online and worldwide at the Diesel stores.
