Meet Greta Axente, our April 2017 Model Of The Month
Say Hello to our April 2017 Model Of The Month, Greta Axente.
The Hungarian-born beauty, whose classic features and feathery brows captivated our editors, who tapped her to star in the editorial ‘ Enchantress’ for LoveFMD’s Spring/Summer ’17 issue. She grew up in the small, countryside village of Zalaegersze having lots of pets: dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits and a parrot.
Her family includes her mother, father, and two sisters, Vanessa and Benedetta. Eldest sister Benedetta is also a model while Vanessa is more established having appeared in multiple Calvin Klein ads, on the cover of the September 2014 issue of Vogue, and a regular on runways from Celine and Valentino to Givenchy.
Watching her sisters model made her realize at the age of 14-15 that she wanted to try it as well. Before that moment, Greta never even thought about modeling. ‘Actually, I had no idea what I’m going to be when I grow up but my sisters started modeling and when I was around 14-15 I began to be interested in it. My sisters were my inspiration,’ she tells us.
Self describing herself as Funny, serious and open minded, Greta has what it takes to get to the next level. Unquestionably adorable with a charming presence on social media, she considers the ability to travel to new places and meeting new people as the most exciting aspect about modeling. Greta feels that fashion has empowered her, ‘I’m more self-confident in the fashion area. I’ve become brave enough to show my own style and wear clothes that look more extreme and not so typical,’ she adds.
She considers Emily Ratajkowski as her all time favorite model, Alessandro Michele and Anthony Vaccarello her favorite designers and Patrick Demarchelier her favorite photographer. However, when it comes to inspiration, Greta does not have any one other than her sisters to inspire her. Growing up having sisters who are heavily involved in fashion was a good thing for her as it helped her with modeling tips about posing etc. ‘I’ve become more creative in this area. I can follow this whole fashion thing a bit better and I can understand it a lot more as well’ she says.
And when it comes to the one piece of advice Greta has received from Vanessa, Greta tells us its to: ‘Be yourself and don’t let people affect you.’
Regarding the future, she is not afraid to dream big, and hopes to land a Vogue cover someday. She also has dreams of becoming an Interior Architect. Greta ranks within the top 1500 on the IFDAQ index – a pioneering real-time industry monitoring system that provides the first real Fashion Intelligence Unit. She is one of the most interesting new beauties on the scene and her Artsy, elegant, cool personality makes her appealing on and off the runway.
