Irina Shayk fronts new Missoni campaign
Irina Shayk is the new face of Missoni.
The Russian Supermodel was tapped by the high-end Italian fashion house for its spring / summer 2017 campaign which also marks the 20th anniversary of Angela Missoni as creative director.
Lensed by Harley Weir at the designer’s summer residence in Puntaldia on the Italian island of Sardinia, the campaign images reflect the brand’s unique personality with colorful, floral and Mediterranean themes. Shayk appears posing in the exterior of the house as well as in the colorful interior sporting new looks from the label. In one image she can be seen laying surrounded by shells on a colorful blanket, while in another she sits surrounded by ceramic vases and lush plants on a staircase in front of the house.
The spring/summer collection of Missoni focuses on patterns and colorful pieces of knitwear, such as long coats, mini dresses and sweaters. The collection features looks that carry the brand’s signature stripes and geometric patterns vis-a-vis superimposition of different styles and materials.
In addition to the campaign images, Shayk also appeared in an official campaign video.
