Alexa Chung Turns Director For UGG
Alexa Chung took on the role of Art Director for Uggs first ever creative brand partnership for its new Classic 2.0 boot.
The 32-year-old model turned designer who recently launched her very own fashion label oversaw the entire shoot from concept stages to the actual shoot lensed by photographer Ben Rayner. Chung also worked alongside stylist Stella Greenspan to pick out the outfits.
Embodying a fresh Boho, the campaign celebrates individual style and features a series of portraits of women who are close friends with Chung and who work within the creative industry of New York: artist and poet Cleo Wade, DJane and designer Brianna Lance, actress Coco Baudelle and journalist Anna Z Gray.
‘I’ve always appreciated classic items of clothing, and always been drawn to things that have a perennial appeal and I would say the UGG boot possesses that quality,’ Chung said of the collaboration. ‘I loved art directing for UGG as it gave me the opportunity to work alongside and marry together some of the people in my life I find most inspiring with a team of talented pals to capture both their spirit and the easy going nature of the brand.’
Alice Hampton, the Senior Director of Globral PR for UGG, said the brand were big fans of Alexa’s ‘iconic perspective and creative aesthetic’.
