Gisele Bundchen Dazzles at Olympic opening
The 2016 Summer Olympic Games kicked off on Friday evening in Rio de Janeiro with a giant opening ceremony with Supermodel Gisele Bundchen.
The 36-year-old looked absolutely flawless as she walked the longest runway of her career (150-meters), to the sound of the bossa nova standard ‘The Girl From Ipanema’. Sporting a shimmering gold sequined gown with a high leg slit and a short train by Brazilian designer Alexandre Herchcovitch, she sashayed down the catwalk of a lifetime.
‘This is for sure the longest runway I have ever walked in my life and by far with the most amount of people watching, so it is a little nerve-wracking I must say,’ she told People Magazine.
She also expressed how humbled she was to be part of such a significant event in her home country in an Instagram post. ‘As I walk down tonight on the longest runway I have ever been on I will be sending out all my love and positivity. I am humbled and honored to be part of this historic moment for my country. I believe that the unity is the key to creating a world filled with kindness, gratitude, peace, and love.’
