Olivier Rousteing collaborates with NikeLab
French fashion designer Olivier Rousteing has teamed up with Nike to create a Football Nouveau collection titled NikeLab x Olivier Rousteing.
The second collaboration in NikeLab’s Summer of Sport series blends Nike innovation with Rousteing’s creative vision. Rousteing took inspiration from Nike’s archives and his own childhood love of soccer and injected a little off-field luxe, adding gold accents to a sleek black silhouette.
‘Fashion is usually about the catwalk and the glamour, but with Nike it was about performance and the athletes,’ Rousteing said in a media release. ‘What I love about this collection is that we are integrating the iconic style of football into sport style.’
The collaboration also extends to footwear and features sport-style models inspired by existing Nike designs. Items from collection will be available from June 2 at Nike and select NikeLab stores.
