Karlie Kloss features LVMH prize finalists on Klossy YouTube Channel
Supermodel Karlie Kloss sat down with the semifinalist designers of the LVMH Prize.
The 23-year-old multi-hyphenate model who was tapped back in January by LVMH to shortlist 10 designers got to know the finalists during her visit to the Paris Fashion Week. The mini-documentary titled ‘Klossy in Paris’ sees her question the designers about their inspirations, their beginnings in the fashion business and what makes them unique. She also shows individual pieces of collections and tries on some of the designs. The six minute video features on her YouTube channel ‘Klossy’ which has over 425,000 subscribers.
The LVMH group announced the names of the eight young designers selected by 41 international fashion experts two weeks ago. The finalists, who come from Japan, Canada, France and China, will present their creations to Karl Lagerfeld and other successful designers. They are Aalto (by Thomas Merikoski), Alyx (by Matthew Williams), Brandon Maxwell, Koche (by Christelle Kocher), Vejas (by Vejas Kruszewski), Wales Bonner (by Grace Wales Bonner), Facetasm (by Hiromichi Ochiai) and Y/Project (by Glenn Martens).
The winner, who will receive a prize of 300,000 euros (about $325,000) and a year-long mentorship to develop their fashion label will be announced when the eight meet the jury on 16 June at the Louis Vuitton Foundation.
