Naomi Campbell stars in ANOHNI Music Video
British musician Anohni (formerly known as Antony), has collaborated with supermodel Naomi Campbell for the video for her single ‘Drone Bomb Me’ from her new album ‘Hopelessness’.
Directed by Nabil and art directed/styled by Riccardo Tisci, in the four-minute clip, Campbell appears tearful and singing the song in a dim, smoky room, intercut with some choreography. The top model sports designs from the house of Givenchy, which were styled by Riccardo Tisci personally.
‘It was the best Naomi I’ve ever worked with,’ Tisci told US Vogue. ‘I wanted to bring out that simplicity and childlike [quality],’ he added, indicating that of all the music videos in which she’s starred, he found Bob Marley’s 1978 ‘Is This Love?’, most inspiring. According to Anohni, ‘It was definitely Riccardo’s presence that allowed her to realize that performance.’
The 45 year old Campbell has previously appeared in music videos from Michael Jackson to Madonna and Duran Duran’s 2011 hit ‘Girl Panic’.
Hopelessness (stylized as HOPELESSNESS)is set to be released on May 6.
