Karlie Kloss Stars in WSJ Magazine’s Holiday 2015 Issue
Supermodel Karlie Kloss is the cover star of Wall Street Journal Magazine‘s Holiday 2015 Issue.
Photographed by Maciek Kobielski and styled by George Cortina, the 23 year old multi-hyphenate gets futuristic as she portrays a true American ‘Rocket Woman’ (holding a motorcycle helmet with a printed American flag) while on location at Elon Musk’s SpaceX headquarters in California. ‘It was probably the coolest shoot I’ve ever been a part of,’ Kloss said in a behind-the-scenes video on her new YouTube channel, Klossy.
In her interview with the magazine, Kloss opens up about talks about dealing with the paparazzi, her long-term ambitions, college, Klossy, her ‘Kode With Karlie’ initiative and more.
On paparazzi waiting for her: ‘There’s no getting used to that.’
On her modeling career: ‘I’ve had a firsthand education from the greats, whether it be seeing [photographer] Steven Meisel set his lights or having Oscar de la Renta drape a gown on my body.’
On her long-term ambitions: ‘I want to be doing my day job for a very long time. But I also want to grow businesses and make a meaningful impact.’
In addition to the interview, she also stars in WSJ newspaper’s recent ‘Make Time’ campaign. In the one-and-a-half minute video Kloss explains how reading the WSJ everyday helps to keep her informed about topics she’s interested in such as business, fashion and technology.
As one of the most popular supermodels in the world, Kloss already has a nice career behind her as, a former Victoria’s Secret Angel and now muse of L’Oreal since 2014. Last month, the pretty blonde posed for Kate Spade’s holiday collection alongside Jourdan Dunn. She not only sells organic cookies, but also studies programming and donates scholarships to talented girls who want to develop new technologies.
