Lily Aldridge To Model $2 Million Fantasy Bra During Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show
Victoria’s Secret model Lily Aldridge is the newest model to rock the Fantasy Bra during the 2015 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
As one of the brand’s Angel spokesmodels since 2010, Aldridge is being bestowed with one of the biggest honors a Victoria’s Secret Angel can get and will be following in the footsteps of some of the most famous names in the industry, including Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum, Alessandra Ambrosio, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Adriana Lima. According to Vogue.com, the demi-shaped, $2 million lingerie piece dubbed the “Fireworks” Fantasy Bra, took over 685 hours to create and showcases more than 6,500 precious gems from the label’s traditional jeweler, Mouaward which total 1,364 carats all set in 18-karat gold. The matching panties are adorned with 126 diamonds and 400 other precious stones.
Aldridge took to Instagram to announce the big news, writing, “I can’t believe it’s finally been announced!!!! Thank you so much @VictoriasSecret @Ed_Razek & Monica Mitro for this amazing honor!!!! I love you all so much #VsFashionShow2015 #DreamComeTrue.”
The Fireworks Fantasy Bra will be the highlight of the 2015 VS Fashion Show which airs on CBS on Dec. 8.
