Newsmaker Of The Week : Taylor Hill
Our Newsmaker this week is American model Taylor Hill.
The doe-eyed Audrey Hepburn lookalike was discovered by celebrity fashion photographer / talent manager Jim Jordan when she was 14 years old in a dude ranch in her Colorado hometown. He then flew her to LA where he groomed her to be shopped around to the biggest agencies in the world.
After breaking out in the Spring 2014 season by walking in shows like DKNY, 3.1 Phillip Lim and Ralph Lauren, she hit the big leagues this past December, when she became the youngest Victoria’s Secret model to walk in the brand’s sought-after fashion show. Soon after, Hill was tapped by VS pink as one of its new spokesmodels and Vogue named her one of their nine rising stars of 2015.
In her few years as a model Hill has already covered ELLE, shot campaigns for H&M and stormed fashion weeks across the world. 2015 has been has been phenomenal for the stunner who recently turned 19. She lists Miranda Kerr or Candice Swanepoel as her dream model to work with because they’re amazing models and she considers them both mentors whom she could learn a lot from. Her dream photographer to work with is of course Steven Meisel.
Hill recently added another feather in her cap when she graced the September issue of Fashion magazine, alongside Elsa Hoskby and landed the cover of the October issue of Harpers Bazaar Germany.
But modeling is not all that the 19 year old has her eyes set on. She also has a new found passion of acting and hopes to end up on the big screen some day. Her manager, placed her with one of the biggest theatrical agencies in the world. Hill also considers working with Unicef and other charities so as to use her career to be the voice for those who can’t speak for themselves.
