Bar Refaeli ties the knot
Israeli supermodel Bar Refaeli married her fiance billionaire Adi Ezra on Thursday.
The private event (which is said to have cost $330,000) took place at the Carmel Forest Spa Resort in northern Israel. Rabbi Yitzchak Dovid Grossman officiated the traditional Jewish ceremony which took place before some 300 family and friends. Refaeli, 30, wore a gown designed by Chloe and then later changed into another Chloe creation for the reception, held in a giant tent. She walked down the aisle as Israeli singer and “The Voice Israel” judge Shlomi Shabbat performed his popular song “The Beginning of the World”.
The wedding was preceded by conflict to impose a no-fly zone by Israel’s Civil Aviation Authority, who ruled that no flights could pass over the venue between 5pm and 2am on the day of the wedding. However, following public outcry to her receiving special treatment, Transportation Minister Israel Katz rejected her request saying, “the skies are open to all of Israel’s citizens.”
Before the happy event Refaeli shared her excitement with her Instagram followers in a series of posts, including one that said, “This time tomorrow… I’ll be dancing in white!”. She previously dated Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio from 2006 to 2011 and was previously married to Arik Weinstein.
Congratulations to the newlyweds!
