Gigi Hadid Oozes Glam For W Magazine’s September Issue
Gigi Hadid’s rise to high fashion continues. After starring in her first short film (a video for V Magazine’s summer edition) and landing a fall fashion campaign for Topshop, she is the September issue cover star of W Magazine.
Photographed by Steven Meisel and styled by Edward Enninful, the ‘The World’s Most Connected Supermodel’ looks absolutely stunning as she channels Brigitte Bardot. Sporting a bouffant, lounging in bed in sexy lingerie and oozing glamour in knit sweaters, the cover marks her most monumental to date.
In her interview with the magazine she dishes about everything from modeling, to social media, to family and taking off her clothes for shoots.
“I’ve never been scared of being naked in pictures, but I wouldn’t do naked for naked’s sake,” she explains speaking about going completely nude for Tom Ford’s Velvet Orchid fragrance. “With Tom, it was an easy decision. When you think of scent, you don’t think of clothes. In the beginning, I thought Tom would not want to know my name. But he made a space for me in the high-fashion world. When Tom liked me, other jobs followed.”
While she loves modeling she also understands all of the responsibilities that come along with it. “I have always been aware of the business side of this industry. I’ve always seen it as a career that required work and planning,” she said.
