Kaia Gerber, Cindy Crawford’s lookalike daughter is following in her footsteps and has signed with IMG Models.
The 13-year-old landed her first modeling contract with the world’s number one international model management company. IMG announced the news on Instagram by releasing the first editorial photo of the 13-year-old shot by Steven Meisel for Vogue Italia. ‘Now representing: @KaiaGerber. Welcome to the family!’ IMG announced on the modeling agency’s Twitter page.
Making her editorial debut in Vogue Italia‘s July 2015 issue, Kaia was photographed by Meisel sporting a fuzzy leopard jacket looking very much like her famous mom in the black and white shot. The editorial is an elegant portfolio of fashionable women from all walks of life by Meisel.
To mark the milestone moment, Kaia shared the photo on her Instagram calling it “Unreal”, while Cindy Crawford who is definitely one proud mama tweeted, ‘Guess I better watch my back! Love this shot of @KaiaGerber. StevenMeisel, @VogueItalia. @IMGmodels @patmcgrathreal’
Kaia is no stranger to modeling. She landed her first magazine shoot when she graced the pages of December/January 2015 issue of Teen Vogue. She was also featured in an ad campaign for Young Versace in 2012 and a J.C. Penney ad with her mom when she was 10 years old. With her thick eyebrows and wavy side part Kaia is a natural with a great ability to strike a pose and is definitely set to make her own stamp on the world of fashion.
