Kate Moss And Lara Stone Get Close In New Balenciaga Campaign
Kate Moss and Lara Stone have teamed up for the first time ever for french fashion house Balenciaga‘s fall campaign.
Lensed by revered photographer Steve Klein, Moss, 41, and Stone, 31, sport matching fabrics from the label’s autumn/winter 2015 collection in a series of sensual images that carry a sense of provocation anf voyeurism. Alexander Wang, the New York-based creative director of the brand expressed his thrill with the result. “The new autumn / winter collection of Balenciaga speaks of women from the multi-dimensional and multi-faceted personality strong and sensual but also austere and enigmatic,” he said speaking to WWD.
In one of the images Moss drapes her arm over Stone as she leans over her, while in another image the iconic models appear to share a kiss with Moss’ lips almost touching that of Stone’s. According to WWD, the idea behind the campaign, according to Alexander Wang, was to portray Kate and Lara engaged in conversation “secret and mysterious.” “I wanted the first image for the campaign to frame Kate and Lara in a mysterious conversation,” he said.
The two models have never posed together before on a photo shoot given their close friendship in real life.
