Gisele Bundchen to retire from runway modeling
The ‘Worlds Most Powerful Supermodel’ Gisele Bundchen is reportedly going to retire from the runway after nearly 20 years in the business.
The 34-year-old is said to retire her catwalk shoes after her final runway show in Colcci during Sao Paulo Fashion Week on April 20, according to Moda Estadao. She has been the face for a number of campaigns for the Brazilian fashion line, including their most recent Fall 2015 one.
Gisele however will not be giving up her entire modeling career though and will still be featured in high profile fashion campaigns and spreads. According to the website, Gisele has always dreamed of finishing her career as a runway model in Brazil as that is where she is from.
While the leggy supermodel is yet to comment on the reports about her alleged retirement, industry insiders speculate that her decision to take a step back from the catwalk has been motivated by her desire to spend more time at home and focus on her family with husband, Tom Brady.
However, while she may not be seen on the runways apres April as the most highly sought-after brand Bundchen wont be short of work and one can certainly expect to see even more of her on campaigns and fashion spreads.
