Gemma Ward Fronts Prada’s Spring 2015 Campaign
After a six-year hiatus from modeling in order to raise her daughter, Gemma Ward makes her return to frontline fashion as the face of Prada’s spring 2015 advertising campaign. The Australian model had recently made her surprise debut on Prada’s Milan runway back in September to much abuzz.
Shot by Steven Meisel the black and white campaign showcases the 27-year-old beauty sporting a Prada sleeveless brocade dress from the brand’s spring ’15 collection.
As the face of the brand’s spring 2015 ads ward has become the talk of the fashion industry with speculation on whether she will walk the fall 2015 runway next month. The last campaign that Ward starred in was for Dolce and Gabbana in 2008. “Returning to modeling has been incredible” she told British Vogue.
2014 was a great year for Ward who appeared on the cover of Australia’s Sunday Style October issue. She was also named the face of Australian fashion brand Country Road in the same month. More recently she also appeared on Vogue Australia’s December cover (It’s 55th anniversary) in a futuristic themed shoot by Emma Summerton.
