Cara Delevingne to star in Suicide Squad
With her musical talents soon to be on display, Cara Delevingne is on a roll these days. The model is reportedly being considered for the role of Harley Quinn in the upcoming Warner Bros film “Suicide Squad’. The 22 year old will play the iconic DC Comics character in the film which is set to be released in August 2016.
Suicide Sqaud is about a group of super villains recruited to perform covert black-ops missions. Harlequin is the infamous accomplice and lover of the Joker. The film will be directed by Fury filmmaker David Ayer.
The model shared a cartoon of herself dressed in the character’s classic black and red harlequin joker attire on her Instagram account a few weeks ago, captioning the photo “Dress up time!!”.
Earlier this month the Latino Review had reported that “Warners is seriously looking at [Delevingne] or the villainous female role in the film.”. There’s also talk of Cara starring in the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales which releases in 2017.
Cara will next be seen in the Amanda Knox-inspired psychological thriller The Face of an Angel, co-starring Kate Beckinsale and Daniel Bruhl, and also has supporting roles in Joe Wright’s Pan and the star-studded London Fields.
