Kate Moss makes directing debut in short film for Vogue
World famous model and fashion icon Kate Moss has moved into the director’s chair in a new film created for British Vogue’s September issue.
Last year, Vogue UK had announced that Moss had joined its staff as a fashion editor, and her work between the magazine’s pages has attracted plenty of buzz since then. She went behind the lens as a photographer in a shoot styled for the September issue of Vogue, which had fellow supermodel Lara Stone posing with a pack of wolf-like dogs and modeling an array of looks from designers including Prada, Alexander McQueen, Versace and Emilio Pucci for photographer Mario Sorrenti.
Moss did not limit her creative talent to just photography and went beyond the shoot to give fans a bonus feature by going behind the camera and filming scenes from the set. Titled “The Wolf in Her,” the video has a runtime of 2:30 and was released as a companion to the magazine’s September issue. The soundtrack to the film is provided by none other than Moss’ husband’s band The Kills.
This new ground looks promising and should be the start of even greater things to come. The 40 year old trendsetter has not lost her vibe and still has what it takes to be on top of the fashion game. Moss recently came in third position on the Forbes highest paid models list for earning $7million (?4.1 million) from 2013 to 2014.
