Kendall Jenner does Chanel couture

After having walked in Chanel‘s ready-to-wear spectacle earlier this year, American model Kendall Jenner solidified her entry into high fashion by strutting the catwalk in the Parisian fashion house’s haute couture show.

The eighteen year-old charmer made her haute couture debut for the label’s Autumn/Winter 2014 offering in an exquisite red and black tweed dress on Tuesday, June 8th. The embellished off-the-shoulder creation, which was ankle-length and featured a tartan pattern, was adorned with feathers at the arms and hems, as well as an intricate silver jewel decoration at the bodice.

The California girl, whose brunette hair was styled to correlate with her feathery ensemble, teamed the look with a matching small hat and chained shoulder bag. For this new collection, Chanel frontman Karl Lagerfeld ditched the sneakers and had Jenner wearing a pair of studded flat black sandals with silk straps wrapped around the ankles.

The reality television star-turned model also shared a snapshot during the show via her official Instagram account. “Birdies backstage #ChanelCouture,” Jenner captioned the black and white photo in which she is seen alongside a fellow mannequin.
