Gisele Bundchen and Neymar cover Vogue Brazil
With one of the most anticipated global football events just a days away (happening once every four years), the iconic fashion bible has undoubtedly gotten in the 2014 FIFA World Cup spirit. International editions of Vogue have opted for football-related themes for June 2014, with some enlisting the sport’s biggest names to grace its covers alongside fashion’s most prominent supermodels.
We first saw the sultry Russian bombshell Irina Shayk covering the Spanish edition of Vogue in company with her Portuguese Real Madrid-star boyfriend Cristiano Ronaldo, shot by Mario Testino, but the noted photographer didn’t stop there. Testino was also responsible for bringing together two of Brazil’s biggest exports; supermodel Gisele Bundchen and FC Barcelona-star Neymar, to share the spotlight in their home country’s edition of the glossy. The thirty-three year-old beauty appears in not one, but two covers of publication ahead of the World Cup which will take place in that South American nation beginning in June 12th.
Donned in a mini white frock, the first cover of the double cover special displays the blonde mother-of-two posing with the twenty-two year-old footballer who is seen resting his arm on her shoulder which is draped with a flag of the pair’s homeland. The second cover shows Bundchen wearing a little black dress and matching sneakers while sitting cross-legged with a football. Meanwhile, Neymar is dressed in a crisp white v-neck t-shirt and jeans in both of the covers.
