Kate Upton covers Vogue UK

As of late, it seems like most major fashion publications are opting for beach themes to get us hyped for the summer. American bombshell Kate Upton is the most recent cover star to pose against a beach backdrop for the newest issue of Vogue United Kingdom.

It was said that the twenty-one year-old model-turned-actress, whose romantic comedy film The Other Woman hit theaters last week, was originally slated to grace the cover of the fashion bible’s American edition for April 2014, before being blatantly swapped for Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. Nonetheless, British Vogue has done Upton justice for its June 2014 number.

Captured by renowned fashion photographer Mario Testino in a tropical Caribbean destination, the model with the most talked about curves is showcased on the glossy’s cover donned in a floral vintage style two-piece bikini from Italian luxury fashion house Dolce & Gabbana‘s Spring/Summer 2014 offering.

The London-based publication features an interview with the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit mannequin, who is often dubbed as a modern-day Marilyn Monroe. “I always thought Marilyn was so beautiful and iconic, it was amazing to even be mentioned in the same sentence as her,” Upton told contributing editor Alexa Chung.
